We are saddened to inform our family, friends and the community that following a tragic accident while playing golf Andrew succumbed to his injuries at The Royal Melbourne Hospital where he was surrounded by his loving family.
Forever loved husband of Betty.

Luke and Tanika, Isabel and Seth, and Toby;

Andrew was a great supporter of the Inner Wheel Club of Warrnambool, especially when he was needed to man the BBQ at a Bunnings sausage sizzle. Our condolences and love go to President Betty, Jenny, David, Kathryn and their families.

My sympathy to Betty and all of Andrew's family, especially David and Tanya. Andrew will be sadly missed by many. His valuable contribution to his local community was recognised by the award by Warrnambool City Council of one of its Australia Day Citizen of the Year Awards in 2002.

He inspired us to embrace change, challenge our limits and celebrate each other's accomplishments and the community. Andrew was an incredible leader, colleague, mentor and friend. Andrew was a friend of mine. Finding words to pay tribute to him is difficult because he was such a huge diverse personality. Determined, good company, accommodating, always serving, a skilled artist and very loyal. To Betty and family, know that he was loved as much as he loved you.

Andrew was just the best in what humanity has to offer. He was and will always remain an inspiration to me. We didn’t always agree on everything, but he respected everyone’s right to their opinion. This was especially so regarding who they barracked for in the AFL. Of course, the mighty Swans were always the best but the Swans had to give other team a go sometimes. He loved all his family with a passion and his friends weren’t far behind. Parkinson’s may have slowed Andrew down, but I don’t believe it defined who he was. He was a person driven by identifying a community need and finding a way to bring people together to achieve great things.
