The Funeral Mass for JIM will be offered at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Lava Street, Warrnambool on WEDNESDAY (August 13) commencing at 11.00am.

Such a caring man! Jim used to drop off Chisco hampers and take my siblings and me to Maccas. I’ll never forget the large Freddo Frogs he would sneak into my hand while Mum wasn’t looking as we waited at the bus stop. Every time I have Kookaburra Cookies, I think of Jim. Remembered beautifully. Thinking of the Stacey family.

In death, we have been shown the joy and kindness that Dad’s life has touched so many people across the community in Warrnambool. In our life we have been even more fortunate to have shared his journey and so many more experiences with him. The time has now come for dad to be finally reunited with mum. A great neighbour and a true gentleman that will be sadly missed. I feel privileged to have spent time with Jim, in particular when we went on tour to his childhood home in Koroit a few years back. He has kept a close eye over our house and raked up leaves in our absence, purely as he had a huge heart

To Peter, Kathy, Simon, Jono and families, the loss of Jim is the loss of a kind and gentle soul whose life was driven by thinking of others and valuing family and friends. He's been a role model for us all but a guiding light for his family. Miles and I send our thoughts and love to you all- there will be a place in your hearts for Jim forever

Jimmy was a much loved friend and neighbour of over 64 years. He will be sadly missed by Jo, Mick, Joanne, Larry, Jayde, Adam & his God Daughter Julie.

To Jim Stacey’s family on the passing of Jim. He was a very special guy that loved to give back to the community. My children and I won’t forget how kind you were to us after loosing my husband and young son. My children loved the Maccas visits with you and Kathy. You always had a smile and sometimes a funny joke. There is a special place for you Jim. You will be missed by so many, especially your family, neighbours and friends.
