To Mary and family, sincere condolences on Mick's passing. He was a dear friend sixty years ago and I am not surprised by the deep and warm messages he is now getting. It was great catching up with Mick over the past few years. Pity we lived so far apart. Whenever we travelled around Australia and met someone from Warrnambool we always asked after Mick and Mary and to a person they spoke so highly of them as people and as community carers.

As my childhood family doctor, Dr Page brought me into the world and was my family doctor. He was always so happy, so invested, and always made me feel so comfortable. When I became friends with Georgia, I then saw that same happy, positive and friendly guy in his home. A beautiful family man,, a wonderful doctor, community member and a great role model. He had such a happy voice that I can still hear. Thinking of you Mary, George, Trish, Andrew, Tony and families and sending my condolences .

I am saddened by the loss of my dear friend We met at CBC stkilda 58 years ago then attended Monash together I did a Locum for mike in Warrnambool 1973 We shared a love of Broome together , the prawns live music and bon fires on the beach He was a gregarious enthusiastic energetic inclusive man of substance He and Mary had a wonderful relationship. Had the pleasure of meeting this legend at the Kathrine hot springs in the NT. He had his mate Colin keeping an eye on him and Mary by his side enjoying the time he had left. Got to take him for a fish and got an invite to their famous Paella night where they would invite everyone in the Caravan park to a lovely feast. Our thoughts to Mary,Colin and Family. I was very sad to hear from Eric that Mike had died. I wish we had spent more time together at the reunion. He had lost weight then but didn't seem to be so close to the end. It must have taken a lot out of him to come up and attend. Mike was one of the really good guys- friendly, fun but a dependable solid citizen who was a great role model for all around him. I am sorry to hear that Mike has died. Pagey - as he was affectionately known - had the happy knack of being able to relate to everyone, so was loved and respected by people from all walks of life. We shared the life of procedural GPs during probably the best time to practice medicine in Warrnambool. Now is a sad time, so I’m thinking of you, Mary, and your family.

Mike was a larger-than-life character. His glass was always half full. He always had a happy smile, warm greeting. He was enthusiastic just about everything. I am so grateful he was godfather to Bernice and confirmation sponsor to Bill. Although we had not seen that much of Mike in recent times, when we did catch up it was as if we only saw him yesterday. You will live in our memories forever.
