Tributes
Leave a tributeOur heartfelt condolences go out to Craig’s family and his loved ones. May they find comfort in knowing how deeply he was appreciated by all who encountered him.
We became neighbours with Craig three years ago when my family and I moved in next door, and it didn't take long to recognise that he was genuinely one of the best neighbours anyone could have asked for. Although we lived seperate lives within the confines of our own homes, Craig's quiet presence during the mundanity of everyday life—such as the glow of his lights in the evening, the steady hum of his lawnmower and being the first one to put his bins out every week—became such a profound source of comfort when I needed it the most. During some of my loneliest days, when my chronic illness kept me apart from the rest of the world, it was those familiar rhythms that were a gentle reminder that I was never truly alone. Just like the magpies that gather outside my window each day and the sun that sets on the horizon each night, Craig was a steady constant in the background of my life—and for that, I will forever be grateful. He will be missed more than he likely ever realised.
Rest In Peace Craig. Xx
Or as Ned Flanders would say: toodili-doo neighbourino!

Barbara & Carol you have always been in my heart, condolences to you both & families:
Craig (Michael), Came into my life at the age 12. We had a friendship that developed into mates, best friends then became inseparable at 15. We experienced and taught each other together love, life, sharing our families .... our friends as one big group having fun, getting up to mischief, enjoying our teenage years through the 80's which now looking back is priceless. An era that did not rely on technology. He became Michael from impersonating Michael Jackson as there was two Craigs. The many Carlton football games we spent hours on transport going to, watching him play cricket, having partie, going to concerts, holidays and just hanging out whether it be at the park, on the school roof or in his car. Looking through photos, I did not realise how much fun we had and now when its too late, I cant sit with him and laugh about it once more. We still talked which meant the world to me. I will always cherish when Craig told me the other year; 'I need you to know, I have always loved you!' Truth is: 'Craig was my first true love, always in my heart and always will be'. The holiday we took to QLD....the photo in the cave; I remember Craig looking out through the opening and said; 'Franny the sun is shining through the trees like a stream of light showing the pathway too heaven, its beautiful'. I replied to Craig...'If it is, it' s not your time, life has only started and your not going anywhere'. Craig if you can hear me today, last night was a full moon, may the light stream down on you once again, lighting the pathway to heaven, reuniting you with ýour mum & dad. May your soul be free, happy and take with you, from me....'Yes, I too have always loved you'....love Francine xoJuly 11, 2025 12:12 pm
"Michael"/Craig/Ash/Nico... What do I even say, when words are so inadequate to convey such a devastating loss. I'm absolutely gutted.
You were such a huge part of our lives. Forty two years ago, but it seems like yesterday, you walked through the door, and that was it, we all just clicked...So many wonderful memories that will be treasured forever, the fun, silliness, and laughter that we shared shaped all of us.
Even though we drifted apart, and reconnected a few times, it didn't matter, nothing changed. I'm so glad you were at Joel's 18th, and got to visit my Little Nest up here, where we watched what we thought was a meteorite hurtling towards us,ready to end all, but turned out to be a defective satellite burning up. (Great investigative skills by you at 4am! 🤣)
Even though we hadn't spoken for a little while, you were were still "here", now there's a gaping hole in the Universe.Love you. You will be in our hearts forever.
Shell xxxxMy deepest, heartfelt condolences and love to Barbara, Carol and families.
