The Warrnambool Lawn Tennis Club committee and members recognise with sadness the passing of Bill McConnell and offer sincere sympathy to Norma, Kerry, Stephen & family.
Bill was a renowned sportsman in Warrnambool and was a valued member of WLTC. Bill was a highly regarded tennis player and a willing volunteer in the management of the club. Bill served the club as President from 1972-1977 and he won the Club Championship in 1968-69 and 1971-72.

A thorough gentleman who maintained high principles in all he did. Demonstrated a love of Warrnambool in his time as a Councillor and as Mayor. Was an honour to serve alongside him during his tenure. Much sympathy to Norma, Stephen, Kerry and families from the Atkinson family!

Dear Norma, Kerry, Stephen and family.
Bill was always my champion and will always remain my greatest inspiration.
Bill has left me and so many others a wonderful legacy of courage and endurance.
I am so proud of him and I hope we can find solace and peace in his amazing life, so well lived, and his extraordinary achievements.
