Passed away peacefully at home in Winslow.
Much loved wife of Stephen.
Beloved sister of Ann (dec) and James.
Adored Mother and Mother-in-law of Sam and Bonnie, Andrew and Samantha, Kate, Phoebe and Abel.
Devoted Grandmother of Harry, Nick, Madeline, Fletcher, Maggie, Winnie, Maisie and Gertie.
A life well lived on her terms and she will be sorely missed

Family and friends of MARGARET are invited to attend a Service Celebrating her life at the Matilda Room, Warrnambool Racecourse, Grafton Rd Warrnambool on FRIDAY (January 3) commencing at 3.00p.m.
Best access and parking will be via gate A & B (off Grafton Rd) or gate D (off Moore St).

Margaret was my first Landlord ( with Steve ) when I opened my business aged 21. She was kind and supportive from day one and that continued for many years . I feel privileged to have crossed paths with her again in another venture over the past 18 months. My sincere condolences to Stephen and their family . Jane McNeil Kol & Chris .

Condolences and deepest sympathy to the Lucas family on the loss of Margaret. An icon of the racing industry both on and off the course. Well remember the "jovial" time we all had at the Cheltenham jumps festival England in 2010 plus numerous Warrnambool jumps festivals as well. Rest in peace

Marg was a true icon of the thoroughbred industry and a shining example of generosity and mentorship. Her passion for horses was matched only by her willingness to share her time, knowledge, and wisdom with others. The Warrnambool Racing Club mourns the loss of Life Member, past Chair, and devoted racing advocate Marg Lucas.
Marg’s extraordinary commitment to the WRC spanned 21 years as a committee member (1997-2018), including 10 years as Chair (2001-2011).
She was a passionate participant in the sport, racing and training horses at Warrnambool, and a dedicated sponsor.
Marg was a tireless champion of jumps racing, playing a vital role in securing its future in Victoria. Her unwavering dedication and leadership left a profound legacy on our Club, our city, and the racing industry, earning her deep respect and admiration.
The WRC extends our heartfelt condolences to Marg’s husband Stephen, and her children, in particular our Committee Colleague Phoebe, and her wide network of friends.
