  3. ‘Miss Hirth’ was a wonderful teacher, and person to encounter. Her countenance always lifted one’s spirits and she had friends in ‘high places’. Thanks to her, my eldest daughter and I, plus a friend who was visiting at the time, have the wonderful memory of an unexpected visit from Santa on Christmas Eve. At the beginning of the school year, she accepted an invitation to dine with us with pleasant enthusiasm, that greatly helped our 6 year-old settle into the school year for Grade 1, after a difficult Prep year and a traumatic Kindergarten experience. We were extremely grateful. Paul, we always thought you were such a lovely man and we were delighted when we realised you and Glenda had found each other. We are so pleased you had that time together, and are deeply saddened by your loss. Diane Lucas and Christopher Dean

  8. Dear Mrs Hirth, you filled my heart with so much joy at WEPS. Such wonderful memories of tie-dye, backwards upside down script, hyperventilating from the ink blowing project, and my favourite.. you singing. Especially Puff The Magic Dragon, which I can vividly recall looking up at your face as you sang. I cried then. I cry now. An honour to be touched by your spirit, Janie x
