2. The Friends of the Warrnambool Botanic Gardens were saddened to learn of the recent death of Jean. Jean was a foundation member of the Friends and on the committee for 15 yrs.
   An artist and skilled embroiderer she donated work for raffles created cards and welcome packs for new members. Jean opened her garden to raise funds also helped with the design of the fernery gates. Her son James created the Friends logo still being used today
