Tributes
Leave a tributeI worked on many projects that Gus supervised for Public Works Department. He was always a gentleman. Fond memories.
He trusted me to do lots of jobs and I never let him down. It was easy working for a man who knew what needed doing. He was obviously a very good tradesman as well as a fine gentleman. (In his job at that time he was not employed to use tools)May 24, 2023 4:19 am
93 years was still a little bit too short. It is difficult to imagine a future without Pa who was glue to a family. I was proud to introduce so many people to Pa and enjoyed his commentary on how good a person they were based on how they managed to park in the driveway. Staying with Pa for a month was a total highlight. Not too long ago someone said to me - I always remember you talking about how much you loved staying with your Pa. I loved our morning walks and how Pa taught me about all the birds. It was incredible to me that he sent a card for every occasion and devoted his time to sharing the best news of everyone you knew. Today's service was so beautiful. I was so proud of the elegance of Shirley lighting the candle and being so deeply honoured for her role in Pa's life. The pictures and memories of Nanna were also a whole new wave of sadness and beauty. Pa had so much to proud of and today I felt so proud he was my Pa and I had the honour to know him.

Thinking of everyone today.
“Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.”
Rest easy Pa 🖤 🤍

My Dad, Gus Densley.
Much loved and respected father and father-in-law of Lynette and Bill Harry.
Tuesday nights just won’t be the same. Will miss your great stories, amazing support and strength.
You were an amazing Pa, Great Pa and Great Great Pa. Never missed a birthday or a family event.
You never let anything stop you right up to the last. What an achievement, 93 years.
Your knowledge and wisdom you passed on to us will be forever held close.
Rest peacefully Dear Dad, one of nature’s true GentlemanMay 19, 2023 7:02 pm
Our Pa was an amazing man, we were so lucky to have you as a part of our daily lives and our kids having the privilege of having you in theirs too a privilege so many others do not get in life.
You never missed a grandparents day for our kids or a dance concert which you so proudly somewhat biasedly said their dances were the best in the show!
Thank you Pa for bailing me out of trouble when mum or dad couldn’t (I do not know how many times you had to break into my car to get my keys). Or the nice brick letterbox you built after I backed over yours.
You were also a wealth of knowledge and a true inspiration to all that knew you! 93 still driving, living at home and doing all the things you loved.
We will miss you so much!
‘Cheers’
