Passed away peacefully at home in Koroit surrounded by family on May 5, 2026.
Aged 93 years
Dearly loved wife of Brian.
Loved and loving mother, mother-in-law and friend of Terry, John and Janine, Brendan and Jenny, Leanne and Brendan, Paul and Debbie, Philip and Loretta, Helen and Stephen, and Mark.
Adored Nanny to her 19 grandchildren and Grand Nanny to her 13 great grandchildren.
Loved only daughter of Margaret ‘Gret’ and James ‘Jim’ Prior (both deceased).
Your memory is our greatest treasure, to have and to hold in our hearts forever

The Funeral Mass for MARIE will be offered at the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, Queen Street, Koroit on THURSDAY (May 14) commencing at 11.00a.m.
The cortège will leave the Church at the conclusion of Funeral Mass for the Tower Hill Cemetery.

I remember very well’ our first meeting - Marie asked’ who was your mother’ after telling her she was a Gavin from Kirkstall, Marie never drew breath…

Marie’s death is a significant milestone in my life. She was the beloved niece of my Grandmother, Annie Crowe née Dwyer (sister of Marie’s mother Gret.)
Childhood memories remain when visiting Aunty Gret’s prior to Marie’s marriage to discover her trousseau and the meaning of such things. To Brian and Marie’s extended family, my condolences on behalf of the children of Nancy Watt (Crowe).

For the people of Koroit, Marie Conheady was a constant, steady presence in our community. To those lucky enough to live alongside her, Marie was more than just the person next door; she was a confidant, a helping hand, and a source of endless warmth and joy.
Whether it was a long chat over the kitchen table or a friendly wave from afar, Marie had a rare gift for making everyone feel valued and loved. Without her, the world is a little less beautiful.
