   We are saddened by the passing of Ian, he was a good National Serviceman always ready to help when he could.
   I regret we will be unable to attend Ian's funeral but will be thinking of you all.

3. Dearest Anna (Bess), & families,
   As you are well aware, your family were always very special to Auntie Laura & uncle Alan, our parents. We enjoyed many happy family get togethers at both Deep Lead & Navarre; often including George & mum on the piano, or button accordions. This later included your Cameron family, with Ian very endeared by our Raeburn family.
   Unfortunately good things don't last forever, but good memories certainly do; and our's of your Ian & George are treasured.
