Tributes

  1. I am very sad to learn about the passing of beautiful Maureen. At every church event she would save me a seat and I’d listen in awe as she’d speak so compassionately and advocative about all the humans in our world.

Her caring nature was evident in so many ways. I know Maureen asked that the church publicly pray for the people of Gaza during a time where many people stayed silent.

I loved seeing Maureen’s facebook posts- she would repost every lost pet, person or thing no matter where in the country they went missing, just incase she could help at all.

In true Maureen fashion, I notice that her final facebook post is an attempt at helping a stranger. She has left a legacy of grace and justice.

I once asked Maureen what the recipe for a life well lived is, and she told me ‘to forgive easily’. I cherish the many meals, conversations and milestones I got to share with Maureen. My love goes out to everyone in her family x.
