Deepest Sympathy to the Vale family on the passing of Eddie. A fair and true gentleman both as a racer and a steward.
Bill and Sue Aurisch June 24, 2020 Farewell Uncle Eddie, so many memories. From the stock car racing in Warrnambool when I was a kid to how furious he was when John Howard changed the gun laws. To him showing our young twins his guns and their city slicker reactions with their wide open eyes agog at seeing a real gun! How everything had a place and a place for everything. His love of anything mechanical. Full of energy, always on the go. Uncle Eddie was a great ambassador for Mortlake. I was honored to have known Uncle Eddie. He was a pillar of honesty and decency. Thoughts are with Auntie Betty and all the siblings. Julie, Penny, Peter & Tania. Very sad but you can have some comfort knowing uncle Eddie had a long and full life. I was going to say RIP but my guess is he’s busy somewhere and has no time for rest! He’s probably having a great catch up with Janet right now!
Colin & Lynette Vale June 24, 2020 My deepest sympathy to the entire Vale family. I have such fond and special memories of Eddie from all the times I stayed at his house as a friend of Janet.
Always an honest and respected gentleman!
90 is such a grand age! Thinking of you all as you come together to celebrate his long life and support each other in your grief.
Love, and prayers. xx
Susan Stafford June 24, 2020 Eddie had a smile to remember,
When I stayed at his place once,
I will never forget the “hanging” soap bar :)
Barry Neal June 24, 2020 Duty, decency, reliability, honour, dignity, respect: these are all qualities that Edward Vale not only held in high esteem, but practised every day. My generation benifitted from his support and friendship. He was always carrying us around bike riding , gocarting or speed boating. Eddie could never resist the opportunity to have a laugh with friends and loved ones.
R.I.P Eddie.
