  3. In Loving Memory of Auntie Shirl,

Although I cannot be with you in person today, please know that my heartfelt love and Prayers are with you all.

Auntie Shirl reminded me so much of our beloved Mumma. She always had a cup of tea, a slice of cake, the warmest hug and the biggest smile waiting for me when I popped in from interstate.

More recently, I will treasure watching our mums spend time together reminiscing. That afternoon was a precious gift, especially seeing my mum (Margaret) looking through old photos and telling us stories about their childhood together.

So much of that family history and heritage now lives on in the beautiful quilts Auntie Shirl crafted. Every pattern tells a story, every colour, cloth and careful stitch, a reflection of the love and care she had for those closest to her.

These are now treasured family heirlooms, and just as Auntie Shirl always did, they will continue to wrap each one of you in her love and laughter.
