Peacefully passed away on April 28, 2026.
Loved wife of Roo (dec.).
Loved mother of Karan and John and mother-in-law of Daphne.
Much loved Nan of Brianna and Thomas.

A private funeral service and a burial have been held in accordance with Geraldine’s wishes
Gerry and Roo were a big part of Port Fairys culture for decades.
Gerry was one of my late father Peters closest friends.
The Smith family were always very supportive to local groups and other bussiness’s, Their butchers shop supplied many local charitable groups & fundraisers with meat for bbqs free of charge.
This was true community spirit from the core.
The generocity and time Gerry gave to the commmunity and the Port Fairy catholic church was imense.
The true local spirit will never be forgotten.
R.I.P many words said by Gerry can not be repeated.
