If he is the same Dave Rundell I knew, I can say that he was an employee (co-worker) of mine at Films, Inc. in Wilmette, IL during the late 90s. Great guy. I hadn’t seen him since the 1970s. Sorry to hear of his passing. 😎

April 7, 2024Sad to hear of the passing of David. I had the pleasure of working with him for 13 years. I relied heavily on him for advice on the HV side of the business. I can honestly say he was a guru in his field, managing the most complicated yard in the ALCAO system. He built a great team of people dedicated to “keeping the lights on” a testament to his leadership and professionalism. He had a unique innovative approach to solving all the issues that came up. I will miss his humorous approach to life and will not be able to eat a donut without remembering the popup canteen, buy a pizza without hearing you say, “no pineapple” and who can forget the hot chilli sauce games played out over the years. My condolences to Vikki and your family.

I’m still in shock at Dave’s passing. He was too young and still had so much more to give.
You positively affected my contribution to PA and am sure you had a positive influence on others, both in and outside of work.
Thankyou for being a mentor and friend, and having a laugh even when work and time pressures were high. Your approach always seemed light hearted, which was endearing.
I am forced to say goodbye, even though I don’t want to.

He was always keen to extend an invite so he could share the knowledge and passion, such was his warmth and enthusiasm, which will be missed by many. Thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
