Julie left us after a lifetime of love and service to her family, friends and community.

Dedicated member of Gateway Church, retired manager at Mpower and former school council member of King’s College. Passionate supporter of missions in Thailand.

Cherished wife of Ian, beloved mother of Daniel and Naomi, Jonathon and Hannah, devoted Nana of Heidi, Levi, Micah and Evelyn.

Much loved daughter of Yvonne and Brian (deceased), sister of Dianne, Debbie and Andrew, sister-in-law to Neil, Steve and Kerin.

Family and friends of JULIE are invited to a Memorial Service to celebrate her life at the Gateway Church, 186 Raglan Pde Warrnambool on THURSDAY (April 17) commencing at 11.00a.m.

  5. I’m struggling to accept that a piece of the Hurrell jigsaw isn’t in the box anymore. Perhaps I need to reframe my idea of jigsaw and now call it The Hurrell Tapestry with the story of Julie being woven in, in a new way. This tapestry continues to weave and be woven into a divine and ongoing story. Love and blessings to the whole extended Hurrell Family. xx

All glory and honour to God for Julie and her wonderful foundation in Christ and the most beautiful mum to her darling boys Daniel and Jono, growing up at the church of Christ as a child was truly special along side Julie and her boys each week at Sunday school, all us kids who walked in and out the doors were truly blessed and in awe of Julie’s loving heart, caring hugs, the laughter, always knowing how to make all us kids laugh, including her boy Jono, Julie made us all feel so special, loved, cared for and safe, a wonderful mother figure for all children over the years in the church of Christ, a strong pillar of the community who will be sadly missed by all who new her.   13. I am so sorry to hear of Julie’s passing. We were Primary school friends and part of the local Kirton Point group of kids that hung out together at every opportunity, usually at Nelson Square playground or across the road at Hurrells house. I have happy memories of many sleepovers and shared fun times together. I will be thinking of you all and pray you can support each other through this difficult time.
