  2. My thoughts are with you today Steve, Pat, Sharon, William and Suellen your families and friends as we pay tribute and give thanks for the life of Johanne and the memories we hold dearly.

Johanne was an integral part of my life growing up together as children later going our separate ways as adults. I will remember Johannes joyful infectious laugh and her ability to engage and put everyone at ease. My first encounter as a young child taught me the Joh was always willing to take control of a situation and to be on my guard with her at all times. As she had a mischievous side. Inviting me into her cubby house and quickly closing the door and me locking me inside. My screams were only surpassed by her giggles of delight until I was released by her Nanna. We spent every school holidays together from then on until our teenage years.

On her return to Australia from England I caught up with Joh and felt the cherished memories of our childhood flood back as we caught up with recent events in our lives.
Thank you Steve for being there for Joh in good times and being her strength throughout her illness to the end.
Rest in Peace Joh. You will always be loved and remembered ❤

  4. I can remember the first time Steve introduced me to Joh in Shepparton, so long ago. I have great memories of the times spent with Joh when she visited me in Ballarat also of me staying at the house she shared with Steve in Melbourne. We did so much talking and laughing. Then after she and Steve moved from Hong Kong to England we visited them there on a number of occasions. Our daughter Catherine and I spent Christmas with Joh after Steve had returned to Australia. We had the funniest Christmas Eve, playing 70’s rock music and being very silly. On Christmas Day Joh excelled herself with a superb dinner. Prior to Covid 19, I stayed with Joh and Steve regularly in Warrnambool and we did lots of talking and laughing. Good times. You will always be in our memories Joh for the person that you were and for your brave battle with MND.
    Rest In Peace

  5. Aunty. Pat, Sharon, Suellen & William, Family & friends, our thoughts are with you all today.
I have so many treasured memories of the fun times we had when we all got together.
One of my most vivid memories of Joh was when she came to spend a few days at Flossie’s. Of course I rode my bike around there to hang out with her every day. One day we decided to make our own rock band. She picked our band name. It was Rockabimba & Joey. Well, we wrote songs & rehearsed the dance moves all day. We played air guitar and jumped all over the couch; it was our stage. We had a lot of fun.
Years later, I caught up with you in England. It’s a shame life takes us on different paths and opportunities to catch up are seldom. You are really never too far from our thoughts and are always in our hearts.
    Rest In Peace.
