  1. Deepest sympathy to Alison, Helen & Lucy. Losing both parents in 3 months is tough.
Mary and I shared some great times leaving lasting memories. I wish I could join you today to share some of them and to see again her now adult grandchildren of whom she was always so proud.

  4. Our sincere condolence and love to Alison, Helen, Lucy and families.

I shared cherished times with Mary at Warrnambool Base during training, riding in her beloved Magoo, parties in the old nurses home and sharing a one bedroom flat in Malvern when we both worked at Cabrini (being galled at having to clock on & off shifts & truly embarrassed at arriving at our first shift wearing veils when all the other trendy city nurses wore dainty caps).

I was honoured to have Mary as my Maid of Honour although she was not much taller than the flower girl!

Over the ensuing years distance kept us apart but we caught up at various nursing reunions & kept abreast of Mary and Ernie’s distance running. Mary was inspirational in me participating in the Susan 10 K classic after watching her crossing the finish line one year.

Mary and Ernie were absolutely devoted to their girls and grandchildren all of whom will be extremely sad right now with the passing of Mary and with Ernie not so long ago.

    Together again they will RIP.

I am sorry that we cannot be with you in person but will livestream and be there in spirit for this very sad occasion.

    Much love, Jan & Michael
