To the dear Mugavin family, and to dear Marie… I have only just found out about Marie’s passing, and feel so much sorrow, – but, I also cant help smiling and laughing (with teary eyes) as I remember times we spent together, during our Drama and Performance days, when Marie was always cool, calm and collected, as was her nature- and always enlivened and delighted us with the most spectacular dance moves and improvisation! She was an absolutely spunky woman, a reassuring earthy presence, and just magnificent company. I adored her and our time that we had together at Fletcher Jones, where Marie and I sat in such peacefulness together, while she created such original and simply beautiful abstract paintings and drawings. I feel so honored to have known Marie, and I am always going to remember her. She had some rare magic about her, indeed. thanks Marie, and thank you to the Mugavin family for connecting Marie and I up with each other! wherever she is right now, I imagine that she’s cool as a cucumber, cracking jokes, and gracing everyone with her warm originality.
