on FRIDAY (November 10) commencing at 4.00pm.

  1. Sorry to hear about the passing of Mick.
    He was always up for a good chat and I loved his stories about wood work projects, surfing and just being by the coast. Mick was also the champion of where to get money from for funding opportunities!

  3. RIP Mick- it was a pleasure to cross paths with Mick in the working environment. Mick was always up for a great chat and I learned so much from him in our short time together as I transitioned into the school environment as a nurse/first aid officer-he was always happy to answer any question as I began my journey. Sending my deepest sympathies to all of Mick’s family, friends and loved ones. My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. x

  4. Mick was someone who always took a keen interest in the other Nurses’well being and their families, in the School Nursing Program. Mick had a ready smile and always loved a cheeky joke. He was the master of getting funding,free things and great contacts for the School Nursing Program and his school communities. So many new programs and services were initiated by Mick
    Mick often spoke warmly of Joan and his girls and enjoyed sharing about his hobbies away from School Nursing.

    Mick encouraged me to become a bowling member and the team of friends encouraged me to bowling.
    He showed courage, honesty and positivity during his life challenges.

  10. Deepest condolences to Joan and family. I worked with Mick in the Wellbeing team at Staughton College. Mick was great at getting funding and resources for the school. The team would affectionately call this Mick’s “wheeling and dealing”.
    Such a lovely, genuine person who cared for his team mates. We had many chats and laughs with Mick. My thoughts are with you all.

  18. What a shock! I worked with Mick as a student mid wife at Mercy Maternity… many years ago and then we both lived in Port Fairy for many years at the same time. Our paths crossed again when both school nurses.

  28. Mick was such a wonderful character, and always there to support others. He had some great ideas that helped us as colleagues and mates. Mick always had a smile and a nice thing to say and was admired for his chill way. I did not know he had been ill, and I am thinking of his family with this difficult time.
