1. My deepest condolences to Marlene’s family. She was my grade 6 teacher and even though that was 60 years ago I have never forgotten her. She was simply the best teacher in every way, so warm and compassionate.

5. To all the Dowie family, our deepest sympathy to you all on the passing of Marlene. A dedicated kinder teacher to our 3 kids and in years later was always interested to find out there life journeys. Lots of fun times had at Allansford Kindergarten.    I met your mother when I married her brother Bobby in 1969 and we became friends.
   Even though our families ended up in different states since 1979 we always kept in touch
   We thought of each other as sisters and I loved her dearly.
