Tributes

  1. Deepest sympathy on the passing of Joan…a tireless advocate for those in need.

Nancy Guy, St Judes Timboon March 30, 2023
  2. Thanks to Joan and her family for allowing her to give the time she gave to the Francis Foundation. As one of your volunteers you were easy to work for and never required the paperwork, rules and checklists but relied on the test of common sense. Always paying bills and playing solitaire whilst keeping an eye on the guys and us all. Showed humor, compassion and at times dogged determination.
Bev Curnow a resident from years ago also remembers you fondly and the influence you had in her life and she was sad to hear of your death.
We last got to all enjoy you being at the Francis Foundation for a Feb birthday lunch for you and Pete and now you are probably enjoying a different sort of heavenly party. Thanks for the legacy you leave and we’ll do what we can to help Pete keep it going. God bless you.

  8. RIP Joan,
Thankyou for the many Chats we had when I came to visit.
You always said you loved the days I would come.
We would always chat rather than we do your cleaning.
You were my confidant an I was yours.
I will always remember our friendship.

  10. Sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Joan Grace.
A truly remarkable woman of vocation who dedicated herself to benefit others. Joan’s faith and values shone through in her devotion and commitment to those around her and in her care. Joan provided so much for so many; a safe haven, a place of belonging, a listening ear, a shoulder on which to share burden, a wise counsel, and a person of profound humility and compassion.
There but for the grace of God go she.
It was a privilege to share a small part of your journey.
