  12. Helen became a dear friend to our group of student nurses who met over 50 years ago when we trained as R.N’s at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Melbourne.
Four of us were from country areas & had never lived away from family. Helen was a great support and a very welcoming, friendly face in “the Big Smoke”.
Although we’re now scattered around the country and only had occasional reunions, we never forgot her smiling face, love of family and beautiful caring nature.
Sadly missed by Anne, Bernadette, Helen (Cos), Maureen, Pauline.

  13. Helen(Mrs Goss) played such an important role in my childhood, with our families so close growing up and sharing incredible holidays camping together. She always treated me like a daughter and I felt safe and loved when in her home. I remember clearly, getting my first bee sting on the swing set in the Goss’ backyard, I can still feel her comforting hug as I cried.
I’m saddened I cannot return home to be there but I am sending so much love and light to all the Goss family.

  14. “Thank you Helen for being my best friend since grade 3, over 65 years, and for all the precious memories some of which we shared recently: one of us standing on the corner EVERY DAY for years after school, before going our separate ways home, laughing, giggling and chatting for ages…. even though we’d spent all day together and time on the bus traveling home; thank you for your kind attitude and patience when I was always late! And for your openness to listen; and even though we lived far apart, remembering to ring each other every birthday, enjoying very long catch ups was special; and to witness your tender love for your family, especially your grandchildren, and for so many others over the years. Looking forward to seeing you , my dearest friend Helen, on the other side for more laughs and catch ups…. your forever friend Helen”

  20. Mum, there are no words for how I feel. You always knew what was wrong before I had to say. I never had to ask for help you were always there to guide me. If at times I needed support you were there right beside me. You have been there throughout my life wanting nothing in return. You have made me who I am today, helping me to grow and learn. Thank you will ever be enough for what you have done for me. I will miss your beautiful smile, long chats my beautiful Mum. You may be gone but will forever be loved and not forgotten.
