  4. Nan..

You’ve left a legacy that is and forever will be engraved into our soul.

The strength you’ve shown in what life threw at you is incredible, admirable and honourable to say the least.

Although.. you were always Nan to me!
The smiling face that would great me at the door after several rings of the famous doorbell and walking down the multi coloured carpet hallway to the kitchen with the aroma of baked goods on offer.

We always knew we were in for a Summer of fun at Nan’s in Port Fairy.
Those days are treasured and constantly remembered with Ashley and myself always.

We would live for the holidays at Nan’s..

Walking down the street under the trees, past the shoe museum to get a Pie at Cobbs or an Ice Cream as kids was happiness defined, and seeing you smile at us was heartwarming.

Pa’s waiting Nan! I’m sure he’s got a ton of new card tricks to show you and a lot to catch up on.

    Always in our Heart!

  5. Aunty Lou out of all of my aunties, you were always my favourite.

So many happy memories from my childhood spent with you down in Port Fairy and excitement overload when you came to visit us in Geelong.

You taught me how to crochet and made me beautiful birthday cakes and oh yes, who could ever forget the best Anzac biscuits in the world made by you.

Rest In Peace beautiful lady. Until we meet again. Your niece Kerrie xxx

  6. Your peace, begins our pain.

Defiant, and insistent until the end, you wanted to do it all the way you wanted to do it and that is what gave us the most pride and respect for you.

At 98 years old you were the boss. No such word as can’t, and age was just, as you put it, only another number.

A 45 year old man myself that still called you Nanny.

As sweet as 1000 cups of sugar, yet as tough as old boots all at the same time.

Things that would knock most of us on our ass would be a mere scratch to you.

Always caring for others and putting smiles on peoples face wherever you went.

Christmas dinner will never be the same.

We imagine you walking through the pearly gates and Pa greeting you with a cuppa and saying well I’ve been up her fishing for 33 years, you might wanna fire up the oven 😆

  7. Forever in our heart, always in our thoughts. Saying goodbye was the hardest thing, knowing you are at peace and free will always give us comfort.
