Passed away peacefully at Warrnambool.

Dearly loved husband of Doreen (dec.) for 71 years.

Loved father and father-in-law of Garry and Kaye, Bruce and Kim, Kerry and Brian.

Loved Pa of Nathan, Kylie; Nichole, Brett; Brenton, Laura and their partners.

Great Pa Pa of 13 grandchildren

 

Family and friends of ‘GERRY’ are invited to attend a Service at the Eastern Park Chapel, 271 Raglan Parade, Warrnambool on TUESDAY (September 26) commencing at 2pm.

The cortège will leave at the conclusion of the Service for the Warrnambool Cemetery.

    SAFE TRAVELS

    You were born and bred in W.A.,
    Residing at Gnowangerup and Armidale.
    But life brought new horizons from that fateful day,
    You met your dear Doreen who hailed from Bairnsdale.

    So, you set your compass south easterly,
    And took her as your bride on the sixteenth of May,
    At Brunswick’s St. Andrew’s Church near her family,
    When henceforth in Victoria you chose to stay.

    And far from your youthful western frontiers,
    You founded a new path from which you did not stray.
    As you journeyed with her for seventy one years,
    And traversed life’s byways side by side, come what may.

    And the course of your solidarity,
    Took only a diversion when she slipped away.
    For you travel together through eternity,
    Reunited once more on the thirty eighth day.
