  3. Members of the Lions Club of Port Fairy-Belfast were sad to hear about the passing of Joe Bourke and send our sincere condolences to Joe’s family
Joe was a well respected and valued founding member of our club, who as club President for Macarthur and District in 1976, travelled to Port Fairy from Macarthur for several months to ensure that there were enough potential members for Port Fairy to charter a club, this involved not only talking to peopel from Port Fairy but also rounding up those interested from Yambuk, a determined effort. Joe took a keen interest in our activities even when he was no longer able to participate. Port Fairy is grateful to you Joe for the legacy of community service you have left.

  4. Dear Pa..

I’m not sure where to even start you are one of the most kindest most gentlest man I have ever known and I’m so blessed to have been able to call you Pa.
I have so many memories of you and I ones that stick out of my mind. watching 60 minutes together on a Sunday night and you always getting me to get the wastebasket beside the TV pealing my Apple eating them together!
The one thing that I will cherish forever and never forget is you’re amazing genuine belly laughs!

I will never forget when I was upset when Nan passed away and you were so calm you came over to me and you said it’s okay Emmy Lou.. It was Nans time and it’s where she needs to be and please don’t be scared.
Remembering how calm and sure of this you were is what has been getting me through this week
I love you more than words can say and reunited with Nan

    Love your Emmy Lou xx

  5. Dear Pa,
You were not only my Pa, but my best mate. We did so much together, road trips to wool sales, ram sales and holidays with you and Nanna. But the love of golf we did so much of that together. I’ll never forget the day we played 22 holes of golf in a match play game versus each other.
I’ll miss all of that, I’ll also miss the wise words you would have for me in any situation. And just to think what you lived through. The Great Depression, World War 2 the seeing of power getting turned on for the first time, what a life and a well lived one at that.

You helped so many people in your life you had such a great heart.

Good bye Pa, rest easy mate you deserve it, and when you see Nanna again tell her about the 4 beautiful kids I have.

Love you mate I’ll never forget you
You meant the world to me.

“no one gets out of this world alive”
Was a saying Pa would say.
