Deepest sympathy to Colin, Grace, Adam, Jacob and Jemima, our thoughts are with you at this very sad time. Maria has been a constant and very special part of our Yogalates family since it began 20 years ago and we have been blessed for that both on and off the mat. She was a giver by nature and she generously shared from her bountiful garden and educated us on persimmons, nashi pears, quinces to say the least (and her struggles with the fig tree). Like her garden Maria will always be beautiful to us, remembered for her warmth, smile and laughter. We know our lives are better for having had her in it and she will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

I am very sad to hear this news and so sorry for her family.
Maria (Birdie) as I knew her back in boarding school days , she was my comfort and best friend being placed together in the dormitory for two years. Dear Colin, Jemima, Grace, Jakob & Adam,
We are devastated for you all at the sudden loss of beautiful Maria. Meeting Maria through our girls, Jemima and Scarlett, has been a blessing. Our short but a very happy time hanging out talking about our girls, attending the occasional Wednesday yoga class (at our age we agreed it was alot of work) and enjoying the occasional lunch was always full of laughter. Her bubbly personality would always leave you feeling great....not all people leave you feeling that way. She was a real giver - a great gift to all and she will always be remembered that way for us.We will forever cherish the wonderful memory of her.
