I cannot believe this. I am late by chance.
From the 'Bool "Dugong draw-off tournaments" of the 80's to the pranks played on me as a signwriter up a ladder on early Sunday morning jobs in Liebig St through the 90's from a patrol car...never forget "Bin Night"

Heartfelt sympathy to Sue, Matt, Chris & families. We are deeply saddened by the loss of a workmate and friend who lightened up every day with your humour and just being you. Rolling up to work looking like you had slept in your uniform was something I failed to change over the 26 years I was your Supervisor. Warrnambool won’t be the same. Farewell my friend.

Oh Boofy, so sad that this has happened to you so soon after working all those years and not get to enjoy a life in retirement. I have so many fond memories and stories of my time working with you for many years in the “job”. The road safety council meetings were always made more interesting when you turned up, which was usually a certainty as there was free food. 😆 The days at gillies street when you would be challenged for a wrestle with our colleagues, the time you participated in the police team for the Murray to Moyne, and how by some miracle you got punctures on your bike so had to spend most of the trip in the support car consuming a few ales. I can just go on with so many stories. You will be dearly missed. Taken way too soon boofy. 🥺 my condolences to Chris and Matt, Sue and family. From Trudy

Ian was just a wonderful big man full of character. Always chuckling and happy to be around his friends. You will be missed of that I am certain my friend. No more humorous comments or words of wisdom at the court door anymore. Rest In Peace.

Dear Sue, Chris and Matt, so sorry for your loss. So many memories of our time at Hamilton when Ernie was central to a lot of laughs and good times. A bit frustrating playing golf or squash with him, he scored differently some how. Good times in Swan St. with Ian and Trevor.

'Ernie' I fondly remember the days when we were stationed at Hamilton back in the late 70's and the mischief that you and others got up to living in the single men's quarters and the numerous laughs that we had on shifts. RIP Ian.
