  6. Cherished Nana of Nathan and Michelle and Nana Ma of Ashleigh and Declan.

    Nana/Nana Ma,

Today we say farewell, but not goodbye, as I know you will be watching over all your family that remain
If I knew the last time that I saw you was going to be forever I would have stayed longer
I will carry many great memories of you forever and the last one is of you resting peacefully in your usual “I was just resting my eyes for a minute” pose just before we woke you up
I have been blessed to have had you in my life Imparting your wisdom on me
Helping to make me into the person I am today, both the good and the not so good
Always being there for …………. Well anything at all really
You lived your life your way never wanting to be a bother
And I hope to make you proud by carrying on what you have taught me

I will miss the phone calls “when you have a spare minute can you …….”
I will miss the “while you’re here can you ………”
I will miss you saying “oh Nathan that stomach”
I will miss you saying “it’s not getting any smaller” when I say it’s not getting any bigger
I will miss raiding your lolly jar
I will miss your visits for tea and you saying only a little bit for me then eating the lot with the saying can’t let it go to waste

But most of all I will miss you

Farewell Nana rest in eternal peace (you’ve earnt it)
    Until we met again

Heaven has called another angel home

    Forever loved, forever missed.
