  2. I considered Eric and Mary to be my foster parents as a temporary member of the Ward clan. Not for years but for decades Eric mentored me through the traumas of life as he modelled the roles of father and a Christian elder brother. I will be forever in Eric and Mary’s debt for the changes they brought about in my life. I did not know that Eric had gone ‘upstairs’, but my hope is the certainty that we will meet again around the throne at the wedding feast of the Lamb.

  12. To Eric’s family we have so many happy memories, good times and laughter with your Dad and Mum.
    Eric arrived at our farm with our first Shetland pony, always managed to get footy finals tickets and take us (when they were sold out?) each year Barb, Ruth and I had holidays at Lang Lang in September… Took us ice skating every year. In later years, was a wonderful brother and support to Dad- a vibrant, joyful, generous, inspiring man of faith.
