What a great guy. Tim always treated me like a little brother when growing up. He is an inspiration for making the most out of life, chasing our dreams and having fun while you’re doing it. Taken too soon, condolences to Jenny, Ben, Quentin, Elisha and Damian.
Rohan Sommerfeld November 27, 2023 Tim, your face will be missed in at our shop where you’d often come in for coffee or something to eat after a surf. Softly spoken and always polite. I was struck by sadness hearing the news of your passing. Sending our love to you family at this very hard time. From all of the team at Sunbakers.
Lou Casboult November 15, 2023 Timmy Tanner you were one of the best.
From being former workmates to catching up over the years you were always the same you never changed.
One of the funniest things I’ve ever seen was you slightly inebriated chanting with the Hare Krishna down Oxford Street in London, I’ll never forget it.
Rest easy Tim
Melva
Melva McGeehan November 12, 2023 Tim, a life cut short way too soon.
A life it seems, filled to the brim with love, laughter, fun, family, mates….and plenty of whiskey and wine.
Your farewell and celebration of life, capturing all that you are, and the imprint and impact you left on so many lives.
I can’t fathom the hole you will leave in the lives of your family and loved ones, but what a lucky place heaven is, filled with so many of our loved ones already taken too early.
Rest easy cousin, may there be comfort among the stars and all those up there with you. Kimmy xx
Kimmy November 12, 2023 Heart felt condolences to the Tanner family and Tim’s friends.
I had the pleasure of working with Tim when he was based in Manchester although with his good nature and infectious sense of humour it was always a joy and never a chore.
A good life is not measured in time but by the joy and love shared and the friends made. You lead a good life Tim, thanks for letting me be a part of it.
James & Ali Phelan November 12, 2023 Tim, sorry we never got that track day in, or that moto vid done. I’ll catch you for a spin another day. What a kind, caring hearted legend heaven has gained
Dea November 11, 2023 Tim, sorry we never got that track day in, or that moto vid done. I’ll catch you for a spin another day. What a kind, caring hearted legend heaven has gained
Dea November 11, 2023 T, I’ve been putting off putting my thoughts into words for the grief I feel won’t ever measure to the words I can write about you. We met at a time when we needed each other but never knew it. From our first meeting we never knew that we’d end up each others confidant. From solving the worlds problems, to trying to make sense of the craziness we called therapy and not work. ($80 for that session thanks.) haha When we would be at the shop behind the counter with a moment or two of silence and you’d pick up your guitar and start playing guess the riff with me and even a odd verse or two you’d sing to me as we laughed. Our plans we’d both talk about should we win our tattslotto system share each. From where your next trip would be to travel too or your next “Boy Toy purchase” as you could never have too many wheels. We’d laughed and quite often we’d both come to the point of tears in our eyes, talking and listening to each other as we spoke with freedom knowing we wouldn’t judge each other unless it came to Nike’s or political (not) correctness. T you were a man of integrity with compassion, morals and a mentor to those who looked up to you and needed advice.
Apart from your cooking, yes we couldn’t help but say if it wasn’t a Kermonds burger you weren’t graced with culinary flair, that was my department. Now who will I cook for and leave dinners in the fridge at work to be critiqued!? They say in life if you do something you love you’ll never work a day but with you, work was never work it was endless stories, jokes and banter it was our therapy. T not only did you impact my world, you befriend my family. From the moment you met Logg’s, G-Man and my “Diet Coke drinking mother of a certain age” as you fondly name my family you had an incredible connection with us all and for that I am ever grateful for. If there ever is such a thing as soulfriends we were it. It’s not goodbye T, it’s until we all met again.
As you would say none of the “mushy shit” but luv ya. xxxx
Tara, Greg, Logan & Julie
Tara Savin November 10, 2023 Rest easy mate i’ll never forget you and thank you for working at Kermonds hamburgers
Indy Tanner November 10, 2023 Tim, we are deeply saddened by the tragic news of you leaving this world way too early. Thanks for all the laughs and most importantly for giving Layla her 1st job recently. She loved working with you as you were a great teacher and mentor. Rest easy mate until we meet again.

Keep on riding the wave to where it takes you….
Denese C November 10, 2023 Tim I hope you know that we all miss you and we are very sad but it’s ok to be sad. You were one of the most funny loving and caring people we knew, you always made up funny jokes and they always got people to laugh people, and we’ll never forget the time when you and Renee were on the WoO WoO juice. We will also never forget the time where you and Renee where in the car listening to Ed Sheeran on the max volume.
God bless you

Edgar Tanner November 9, 2023 So saddened to hear of Tanner’s sudden passing. Whenever we caught up, through Brad & Danielle, Tanner was always a true gentleman, genuine, thoughtful and up for a chat. A wonderful life taken too soon.
Sending sincere condolences to Tim’s family. Xx
Talei & Nathan Watts November 9, 2023 My Sincerest condolences to Tim’s family.
Worked with Tim in Sydney, solid man to work with and became a real loyal friend. As an Irishman that had started working in Sydney, Tim was my first true Aussie mate. He as he said himself was the token Aussie brought along to the Irish Parties in Sydney but he always knew how to liven up a Party like singing the entire lyrics of “We didn’t start the fire”. People just loved him being there and loved his cheeky smile. No one ever had a bad word to say about Tim. Tim always believed in his dreams and always fulfilled these, like buying his Ducati & being involved with John Kermond’s. Great to see Tim fulfilling his dreams.
Rest in Peace Tim
Timmy O'Keeffe November 9, 2023 Close on 20 years I have known you since the good old days of JPM back in sunny Bournemouth when you fell off your motor bike most weeks, and were out on the smash most nights.
Never a cross word, a true gentleman, always the life and soul of the party, always the first to the bar and the last to leave.
There is nothing you wouldn’t do for anyone, and never ask anything in return. Aside from a hug which was few and far between cos you never liked any of the “poofy shit”…..
You even gave me my first motorbike in 2009 for free because you knew I loved the old VTR. The fact that you went out the next morning and threw it down the road trying to avoid another bike and had it delivered back to me in pieces was neither here nor there – we just drank until you quit moaning about the pain and apologizing for totalling my first bike!
Albeit we didn’t see enough of each other, there was always the banter via messages chatting about watches, Joe, work, your old man bike collection – but at the end of the day, I always knew that if I called you, you would be there in a heartbeat. The sign of a true friend.
We’ll miss you softcock, but just know that we will always be thinking of you.
James, Helene and Little Legs.
James Hollister November 9, 2023 Tanner Family , I met Tim when he opened Kermonds Geelong ,I was so excited,as I grew up with a Kermonds Hamburgers ,as time went by the conversations progressed over a junior burger .Then to discover that his surname was Tanner we had a connection ,his grandparents ,father Allen and siblings grew up next door to Domans Garage Allansford ,my family . This young man was a credit to his family and I will miss his beautiful smiling face ,deepest sympathy to his family .
Janine McBride November 8, 2023 We never thought we would have to say goodbye ………
How privileged are we, to have had you a part of our lives, but Tanner, it wasn’t for long enough. Meeting Fez at 15 behind the grill at Kermonds, Tan, 17 at Brauer College, when reflecting our entire lives together as a couple have encompassed you. Enough so, that Cooper will carry your name.
You were the gentle giant. The one that quietly left his print on everyone. You were the fun, the silliness and the serious in our friendship. You grounded us and let us feel safe. Our boys looked up to you, and although that scared Tan at times, they were mentored by a true gentleman. How special that they will carry their memories of you.
I will keep Joe going for you (and the family) mate.
Thank you for choosing us, choosing us to be your friends, your family.
Our deepest condolences to Tim’s family -Jenni, Damien, Quentin, Elisha, Ben, Grace, Deb and their families.
We will love you for eternity.
Fez, Tan, Logan, Cooper and Noah x
Andrew and Tania Ferris November 8, 2023 Our family had the pleasure of seeing Tim everytime we visited Geelong. We’re going to miss that infectious smile as we walked into his shop and all the lovely stories he would tell us about his hobbies and passions. Our hearts are broken that we no longer will get to visit you, but you will remain such an important part in our memories and hearts.
We love ya Timbo ❤️
The Iaquinto Family send Our deepest condolences to the beautiful Tanner Family in this time.
Jasmin I November 8, 2023 Tanner, my old friend, it seems impossible you’ve gone and it’s tough to put into words just how much you’ll be missed.
It would be easy just to say you were a legend in the pub and a demon on the bike. Sure we shared some big nights out and I can’t tell how much I was looking forward our upcoming bike trip on your ‘patch’.
But when me and my family were going through a tough time you were one of the first to turn up offering to do anything and everything you could to help. A real friend, an old school gent and an absolute credit to your family.
The fact that you’ll be so sorely missed by so many speaks volumes. Your infectious positive outlook on life will live on through all who were fortunate enough to have known you.
Sending our sincerest condolences to your family.
Lee, Lucia, Christina & Jacob.
Lee November 8, 2023 Shocked is an understatement. Tim I know you will be missed dearly by many who loved you. To have another cousin gone to soon is devastating…….your legacy will live on in those who’s hearts you touched.
Sending much love to his mum Jenni, Damien, Elisha, Quentin, Ben & grace. Xxx

Peter Anderson November 7, 2023 Tim,
Thanks for showing me the ropes at CBA and the souvlaki shop for lunch. You had the rare gift of being able to talk to anyone as though they were the most important person in the room.
The beers in Byron and Sydney are good memories.
Condolences to your Family and Friends.
Rest in peace.
Ed November 7, 2023 Simply devastating news we all got last week. Very difficult to put into words how special you were Tanner.
It didn’t matter what state or country you were in Tanner would find you and good times would follow. Some of my most enjoyable and debaucherous nights out involved you old mate, however this is only scratching the surface of what you an extraordinary friend and person.
Living abroad has meant these times and moments have been far too infrequent of late. Luckily a little bit of Tanner goes a long way. I’m thankful to have known you and to be able to call you a good friend.
Rest easy mate.
Sending my condolences and thoughts to the extended Tanner family.
Gordon Ryan November 7, 2023 Tanner my old friend. It’s still so hard to think you’ve gone. It feels like only yesterday we spoke to put the final touches to our Aussie road trip part 2.
Its very seldom (and often too late) for people to sit back and really appreciate what they have and who they know and who they have in their lives.
Whether someone met you for a fleeting moments, or can class you as a friend for 20+ years, you always left a positive stamp on people’s lives. A true gentleman and friend.
Whilst its impossibly sad your passing, I know you will have left many people with a legacy and outlook on life that will not be forgotten.
You’ve gone too early old boy, but we will forever have you in our thoughts and we will reminisce of our time often over a beer.
You are one of a kind Tanner. I’ll say it here even though I know you would have called me a “softcock with all that hugs and shit”…I miss you mate!
Marc November 6, 2023 Tragic news on the passing of Tim.
Another link in the family chain broken.
Love and condolences to all of Tim’s family
Roy, Ros, Chris, Dion, Ash and Luca Bellman
Ros Chenoweth November 6, 2023 Words cannot describe how much this great man will be missed. He had the most infectious personality that would light up any room. I count myself lucky to have lived with Tanner for a couple of years. I treasure many great memories from the Goldie Court days through to recent times with my young gamily. RIP Tanner. Mick, Sara, Curt & Beau
Michael Morrison November 5, 2023 Oh dear Tim another Kermond worker taken way to soon, I will cherish the times you came to Russell street, with Aaron and the boys, your friendship and beautiful smile said it all, even when I asked for your keys, when you were about to drive home, you handed them over with that cheeky smile that is etched in my memory; Thankyou for being the best friend to Aaron and all that crew, you will be so sadly missed, deepest condolences to the Tanner family and to Brett (Kermonds)
RIP TANNER, you are in good company up there 🙏
Di Taylor November 5, 2023 Our grief for Tim is our love for Tim. Grief is love.
When an old person dies, even if that person is wonderful, they are somewhat ready to let go, and so are the people who loved them. They are like old trees, whose roots have loosened in the ground, they fall gently. But when someone young dies, someone like Tim – well before his time – the roots of his tree get pulled out and the ground is ripped up. And so everyone nearby is in danger of being knocked over.
And so Tim will continue to live in us all. Each time we take a swig of whisky, each time the roar of a Harley traces our ears, each time the sweet strings of a guitar strum, each time the cold water of the ocean touches our ankles, each time our feet brace the ground in a boot scoot motion, he will be in us. Tim taught us that you can be all of the things you want, you are not confined by one part of life. He wasn’t this or that, one thing or another thing. He was a true concoction of life.
Tim was a part of our family. He was safety, he was trust. The chairs at our table will long for his presence, our lips will beg for his conversation, the kitchen scissors will plead to cut his long hair once more. Our past will treasure every moment in his considerate company and our future will mourn every moment without him.
Adam & Charlotte (and Tim’s Bayswater Road Extended Family)
Adam Lynch and Charlotte Brough November 5, 2023 Tanner what can I say I remember you from year 7 at Warrnambool college and then I was blessed with meeting you again years later as a friend of my husband. So many nights of laugh, drinks , music and fun. So many memories that will be etched in our hearts for eternity. Our last memory being you turning up on our door step in Queensland in true Tanner style in Joe with a cheeky smile on your face. You will always be remembered as a part of our family Tanner gone but never forgotten.
RIP our friend Aaron, Bec, Declan and Mitchell O’Keeffe
Rebecca O’Keeffe November 4, 2023 I always enjoyed working at Kermonds with Tim over a number of years. If it was a Saturday or Sunday morning he’d likely be a bit dusty but his cheeky personality would always shine through. He was a great guy and it had been great being able to grab a burger and have a yarn in Geelong the last few years.
Condolences to Tim’s family, friends and workmates. He will be dearly missed.
Tim Faragher November 4, 2023 Tim, I cannot believe I’m writing this, given that just 2 weeks ago I was standing with Adam in your home admiring the MV Augusta, you offered me the keys to take it for a spin an offer I didn’t take up, but we had once again a great chat. You were a great friend to Adam and Charlotte and Ben and Sarah, and to the many others who crossed paths with you when you visited Bayswater Road. We hope that your family and friends find solace in the tributes that have been written as they truly reflect the person we all came to know. Tim I hope the surf is good, that your golf drives go straight and the putts drop, and that with the wind at your back the roads are smooth and the curves long and sweeping. Our thoughts are with your family and friends as we all grieve your sudden passing.
Wayne & Gretta
Wayne Lynch November 4, 2023 A loyal partner and amazing friend through some of the best and wildest years of my life. No day shall pass where I don’t think of you when a Harley flies by, or when one of “our songs” comes on. I’m glad we kept in touch for all of this time and from across the world. I hope you’re on the beach forever now. Love to family and friends, and please know how dearly I’ll hold the years of memories in my heart. X
Respectfully,

Matthew Fay November 4, 2023 May you rest in peace, your smile and sense of humour is what made me buy a burger in Geelong, one of the best I’d had.. only just a few weeks ago.. time is precious. Thank you for your kindness. My sincerest condolences go out to The Tanner Family, his friends, and Colleagues. I didn’t know you but from all accounts of what I have read you will be sorely missed, Your legacy will live on. Vale Tim Tanner, From The O’Connor-Barrow Family
Shaunie November 3, 2023 It’s hard to think of my misspent youth without memories of Tanner! Thanks for the memories-shed parties at Ben’s, Sydney trips and nights out with the crew. Glad to have caught up with you recently at Kermonds. Thinking of your family and our friends during this devastating time
Rachael Moore (Storr) November 3, 2023 This week a lot of us lost a very close friend. Tim and I went to school together, moved to the UK together and did a lot of silly shit together in multiple countries all over the world. He was truely one of my closest and longest standing mates! We were as close now as we were at school.
For those of you lucky enough to know him, he was one of the most loyal friends you could ever have. He made it an annual event to turn up on my doorstep in Qld every year for a few days, spoil my daugher with gifts, teach her a few bad habits, have a few beers then disappear until the next year.
To make things even worse, Tim was supposed to visit a few weeks ago in typical Timmy Tanner wrecking ball style (let me know about a day before driving to QLD) and we unfortunately didn’t make it work due to commitments……… and now we unfortunately never will.
Please make time for your friends, you never know when you won’t be able to again!
RIP TT……. We miss you already mate.
Matthew Smith November 3, 2023 Very saddened to hear of Tim’s passing. That cheeky smile will be missed by many but never forgotten. Sending love and condolences to his mum Jenni, Damian, Elisha, Quinton, Ben and families.

Rest easy and may your memory live on.
Matt Walsh November 3, 2023 Shocked is an understatement. You had grown up just a little from being my high school crush the last time we caught up. I’ll treasure my Eddie Vedder and red wine memories and be sure to bust out some Pearl Jam and think of you. Thanks for the memories Tim, rest peacefully.
Karina Yates November 3, 2023 Thanks for being the man you were a friend, mate, brother, son you lived life to the fullest and lit up a room with your infectious smile. It was a true privilege to have known you. You leave behind everlasting memories of the great man you were and the impact you had on the lives of all those that had the privilege to know you will never be forgotten.
I will miss you at the Footy mate.
Thank you for being apart of our lives you will be forever missed and never forgotten
Love Jo and Jase
Jason Esam November 3, 2023 It is with sadness when we heard of Tim’s passing at such a young age.
Our sons Garth and Daryl Walker had magic moments with Tim in their early school Days at Warrnambool Primary School and after school playing when we lived close by up in the Couch estate.
I recall taking Tim and Garth to a AFL State of Origin in Adelaide.tickets were arranged by a trophy supplier for our business in Jamieson st.
On behalf of the Walker Family, John & Hazel now Hervey Bay Qld, Daryl now in Sydney and Garth now in Vermont USA, we offer our sincere condolences to Jenny and family on their loss of such a wonderful young man at such a young age……fond memories are with us RIP Tim
John Walker November 3, 2023 While you may have never known us personally, you were such a highlight for us. We’d regularly come to Kermonds Geelong, from the day it opened and you were an absolutely amazing person, always so lovely and made some of the best food for us.
We’d always walk past and see you were working and know that it was the right time to come in and knowing that you’re no longer going to be there, breaks our hearts as it’s never going to feel the same.
May you rest peacefully and all our love to your family.
Kay and Jackson. November 3, 2023 From the moment we met you we knew we’d have a special relationship. The caring patience you showed our little guy always making him feel special Braxton loves you so much Timbo. Our lives will be poorer without you.

Bettina Wallace November 3, 2023 Sincere condolences to the Tanner family x
Ashley Ansell November 3, 2023 I held of writing this as I didn’t what to say or where to start. So many random stories could be shared, like the time I wrapped you Christmas present is so much sticky tape just to be a pain for you to say.. it can stay there it’s a paper weight, when in fact it was. Six months later it was still sitting in that same spot. Or the many times you walk in the back door with a bright torch, because you thought it was a waste to buy a bike light and a torch. There are so many stories from not just me but so many people whose lives you have touched. Tim, you always had a caring heart and always so blunt and straight to the point. You will be missed by so so many.
Sharra and family.
Sharra Mcnaughton November 3, 2023 A great guy that will be missed by myself and our entire family. I’m so sad to read of Tim’s passing. Just so sad! Chris, Therese, Gemma and Ryan Quinn

Fearghal O'Connor November 3, 2023 My heart is broken Tim!
I’ll never forget you showing up in Ireland the morning of my wedding with nothing but the clothes on your back and a wad of money that would have sunk the Titanic. By the end of that weekend you were the talk of Ireland, how you’d slid across that dance floor on your knees like Travolta!
I am so privileged to have known you and to be able to call you a friend. You made me want to be a better person every time I met you!
Rest in peace.
John Power November 3, 2023 Tragic news on your passing. You made time for everyone and especially when you visited us in Cambridge one Christmas. Elizabeth Kulinski November 3, 2023 Tim you’re one of the soundest and most down to earth blokes I’ve ever met. Loved hanging out over the years in Sydney, Melbourne, Warnambool, and Ireland. You’re going to be missed and condolences to your whole family. Rest well mate, lots of love.
Conor Wall November 3, 2023 Tim,
What fun times we had sharing a few drinks or maybe even way too many on the odd occasion.
You may of crashed in the spare room a few times and hit super stealth mode and bailing early the next morning.
Always randomly bumping into you at the pubs when you were in town, because gosh you were a shocker for not answering your phone.
Such a loving and compassionate person to everyone you met.
Will never forget that mischievous laugh and grin you have.
Sending my love to your family at this time.

Kahlia Tanner November 2, 2023 We only caught up occasionally, ( mostly in Melbourne with Brad and Dan) but you were always the same genuine, fun loving guy. You had a special charisma and kind soul. Cannot believe you are gone.

I’m so gutted to hear of your passing – it’s just not fair at all.
Love and sympathy to Tim’s family
Donny
Donovan Carberry November 2, 2023 It was a real pleasure to know Tim. Just that rock solid person who was always what you saw, was who you got. Friendly, passionate and just humble. From working the stoves together at kermonds in Warrnambool, to being treaty like royalty in the Geelong store when I’d come in as often as possible.
It was a pleasure to be welcomed into Tim’s friendship collective and to have spent time with a person who really lived by the philosophy of “Treat others the way you’d like to be treated”. Tim’s passing is a real loss to our community.
Nathan McKane November 2, 2023 Jen and family, sending love to you all at this really sad time. I feel I knew Tim from all of your stories of him and your children.
Hold your memories close to your heart.

Pelita Leishman November 2, 2023 Tanner, you were salt of the earth, one of the best blokes that my husband Brad Richo introduced me to, you were like a brother to me. We are struggling to believe that you are gone. We shared so many fun times together when you’d come & stay in Melbourne. Your smile and humour lit up a room, we’d blow the doors off and chat to the wee hours. We are so devastated. You were a true golden friend, thank you for the amazing memories we will treasure forever. Our deepest condolences to your family and all your close friends. Rest easy Tanner, we’ll miss you incredibly, life will not be the same without you. Love Always, Danielle & Brad Richardson xx
