Tributes
A great big hug to Pat. I have the best childhood memories. You and Jim were always there to help me out when I was either bogged or out of fuel. The best lifelong best friends dad.
February 23, 2021A TRIBUTE TO A TRUE HORSE LOVER
Our treasured memories and thoughts are with the members of Jim’s family at this time.
We got to know Jim and other family members about 1972 through connections of the “horse world”.
Jim was a foundation member, along with ourselves, who formed the Inaugural Warrnambool Pleasure Riding Club.
We rode many kms side by side, swapping yarns and good stories throughout Western Victoria.
During these rides ideas were discussed and later carried out of raising money for locally based charities, and some of these rides were of more than 160 kms in duration.Jim was a knowledgeable horseman who knew a “handy horse” when he saw it, and he also bred so many of his own which fell into this category. One of these horses found its way to our “family of horses”.
Although losing contact in more recent years, due to moving out of the district, we would occasionally catch up and greet each other warmly. Family were always enquired about, followed by chats about horses.
We will miss you Jim. Long-time memories will be treasured and never forgotten.
Lance, Claire, Trish and Calvin Trigg

February 21, 2021Pa, there is a special kind of love that children have for their grandparents…
It’s filled with respect for their wisdom and lifetime of accomplishments…
With gratitude for the values they have helped us attain and delight in the stories that we will treasure forever.
A love that’s built of a lifetime of smiles, laughter and the comment “cheeky little bugger”
It’s the kind of love you have from all of us, today, tommorow and always
Rest In Peace Pa

God Has You In His Keeping- We Have You In Our HeartsSchool holidays, were always the best,
February 16, 2021
How long we could stay, was always a test.
The Possum Farm, bush walking and playing cards,
“Nan’s cheating again” Pa would remark.
Mary would get the horses ready,
Pa would say “Whoa’ now you be steady”.
Catching the red fin in the dam,
Killing foxes ,trapping rabbits, lending a hand.
The delicious stews, with our catch, we were fed,
Tent sleeping, Pa whistling , finger tapping ,The snoring in bed.
Driving cars, riding motorbikes for hours and hours,
Pa always had a free petrol bowser.
The wheeling and dealing was immense ,
If there was a dollar, it need not make sense.
Rodeos , the circus , horse races and the show,
Patching things with bailing twine, so we could go.
Grand children made feel important in life,
The day Pa hosed Nan, He was really in strife.
Teasing Pa’s side lamb chops like any other,
Pa would remark “You cheeky bugger”
A dog named Foxy, rounding the stock,
The next dog was My name sake, Rob was shot.
From riding the jinker, to saddling’ Judy’ the horse,
Dipping sheep, cleaning stock yard’s, doing chores.
Memories of great times will always remain,
My life without you guys would not be the same.
Great people through and through,
There are many a person, that will always salute you.
The generosity and love, that was given, I am sure Pa has gone straight to Heaven.Loved Dad of Mick and father-in-law to Velma (dec)

A husband, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather and a truely amazing man. Although your passing isn’t what anyone had hoped for, we still count our blessings to have been surrounded with your love in our lives. Your uncanny ability to know what to say in any given situation or your quick witted nature making everyone in a room smile and laugh. You have passed down traits in all of your family members that will live on for generations to come and we are just so thankful and grateful to have shared our lives with you. I know you will be looking over us for our days to come. Thank you again for all you have done. We love you today, tomorrow and forever.
