  2. Sending our love and sincere condolences to all. We, like everyone else who ever knew Murray, admired him greatly and he will always be remembered with love and affection by us. He was a huge presence at any Maclean family gathering we were at, and Rob and I enjoyed hearing the latest amazing tales of his incredible life, always told with great humour and self-deprecation. Huge respect for him and much love to Puthy and the boys, Marjorie and Susan, and all the Macleans. Requiescat in pace.

  3. Dear Puthy, Lachlan, Roderick and Fitzroy

I am Peter Chamberlain. I knew of you from Chris Redfern and you were kind enough to offer me the hospitality of your home while I was travelling alone in SE Asia on New Years day 2555 BE, aka 14 April 2011 CE. You made me most welcome and I enjoyed meeting and talking with you and Murray. A brief encounter but one that left a lasting impression upon me.

So it was with great sadness that I learnt of the recent death of Murray your husband/ father. May I offer you my sincere condolences at this sad time and wish you the strength to continue to live your lives in the manner he espoused – caring, generous, warm and cheerful.

My thoughts are with you all.

  4. The news of Murray’s untimely death came as a great shock and will remain an enduring sadness. But we’ll always treasure the happy memories of his great qualities as a professional,as a family man,as a man of culture and a very warm human being. I met Murray when visiting Cambodia for the first time in 1993 and we developed a close working relationship that remained close friendship with him and Puthy and his family, who came to see us int Italy about 10 years ago. To them all I reach out with my heart to say how sorry I am but will try to hold on to the good memories. Take care, Chris Redfern
