Tributes

  1. We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our dear friend Kris.

Wonderful memories working together at St.Vincents Hospital. Medical records back then now H.I.S. We met Kris as a student on placement, then she returned as a manager had a wonderful relationship with her staff and was always there to support you in any tasks.

Funny memory we often laughed at attending Weight Watchers we became lifetime members, the reward after each weigh in was a chocolate licorce strap, as you can see in later years we didn’t get back there again.

She loved her trips to Perth and was so much looking forward to Xmas with Terry and Tricia.
Loved her time with her adored nephews, Lauren, Harvey and Alice. Always had updated photos of the little ones.

    Forever a treasured friend.
    We will miss you.

  2. Kris was an indispensable work colleague and great friend to me for more than 30 years from St Vincent’s to the Austin. She was highly professional, knowledgeable and a wonderful manager and mentor to her staff and colleagues. I learnt so much about hospitals from her.

A leader in her profession, she gave of her knowledge and wisdom in many forums and on high level state and national committees. At the same time, she was always kind, humble, giving, and supportive of all around her.

The Austin crew of Kris, David, Peter, and I kept in touch with regular, long lunches where she would always ask about our families and keep us up to date with Terry, Tricia, and her nieces and nephews.

    She will be sadly missed.

My sincere condolences to Terry and family.

  3. Sincere condolences to Kris’ family and many friends. Her gracious and kind nature were a blessing to us all. Kris and I were great grand-daughters of MaryAnn and Robert Grayson – early Warrnambool pioneers.

  4. Kris has been a special friend of our family for as long as I can remember. When I was a child I recall visits to Don and Vera’s home for Christmas parties and more recently we enjoyed many Christmas days with Kris at our own family home in Melbourne. Always arriving with many chocolates and gifts, Edward and Grace eagerly awaited her arrival every visit. As a lifelong friend of my Mum Marion, many lunches were enjoyed and she was loyal, caring and supportive. I’ll always remember Kristine as a kind and generous lady who cared about others. My deepest sympathy to Terry, Trish and your family. Forever a friend of our family.

  6. So many wonderful memories of Kris as our Manager, colleague, mentor and especially friend.
As my manager she put her faith in me, always supportive and generous with her wisdom and time.

She was also so incredibly respected by those who worked with her across health services, health information management and the Department.

She always took the time with us individually, always asking after our wellbeing and those of our family; whilst at the same time sharing the love and times she had with her family.

It was always great to catch up with Kris in retirement, lunches with Kris, Chris O’G and Peter D were always fun but they won’t be the same now.

Kris will be sadly missed, she touched so many lives – all for the better.
Sincere condolences to Terry and family.

  7. Kris contributed enormously to the advancement of health information management. She was a significant and wise leader within the profession. Her collaboration with, and kindness towards Health Information Manager colleagues at all levels of the profession were highly valued. Similarly, her unstinting support over many years of many health information management students from La Trobe University, and of new graduate Health Information Managers, whom she encouraged and mentored, has produced a tangible and very meaningful legacy. Kris will be sadly missed. Sincere condolences to her family. RIP.
