Loving husband and friend of Margaret.

Much loved father of Robert, Louise and Emma-Jane (dec.).

Proud poppy of Niki-Jane, Brieanne, Anais and Jarvis.

Special friend of Karen and Anthony, Ashleigh, Ryan and Kate.

Loved eldest son of James and Jean (both dec.).

Loved brother of Norma, Graeme (dec.), Phyllis (dec.), Dorothy and David.

The Funeral Service for VERN will be held at St Andrews Uniting Church, Cnr Shaw and Church Street’s, Mortlake on TUESDAY (March 15) commencing at 11.00a.m. The cortège will leave at the conclusion of the Service for the Mortlake cemetery.

    Age 89.

    Vern Delaney was one of the organisers of the Delaney reunion and a commended member of the National Servicemen’s Association.

    The Eldest Son of James Joseph Delaney (1914-1999) and Jean Krepp (1916-2001)

    Vern was a major contributor to the 2005 Delaney Reunion and the current “My Ancestry” post on Facebook.In it he was interviewed with Annie Delaney on the Delaney Whiskey “Let’s set the Record Straight”

    When Vernon James Delaney was born on 8th of February 1933, his father, Joseph Delaney, was 18 and his mother, Jean Krepp Delaney, was 16.

    He married Lorraine De Clercq Delaney and they had three children together, Robert, Louise and Emma-Jane Michelle (1976-2001)

    He then married Margaret Ruth Smith Delaney in 1990.

    He passed away on the 9th March 2021.
    Aged 89.
